Hi,
I'm trying to root my Moto G 2nd Android 6 (with this instruction)
the bootloader is unlocked.
then I set the fastboot command :
fastboot flash boot titan-24.11.10-BR-boot.img
I restart into recovery mode. But the recovery shows no command.
I'm stuck .. don't know what I am doing wrong.
Would be grateful for any advice.
Please no windows solutions like batches.. my Desktop operating system is a Linux based one.

Thank you very much

You're most welcome, @cappone :).

By the way (and note, I do not have a Moto G, so this is just off-the-cuff), it looks like the instructions (from the website you linked) that your device must have TWRP custom recovery already installed and what you described about sounds/looks like you still have the stock recovery, so that might be your issue.

Cheers and best of luck!

:)

Sometimes rebooting to system before going into TWRP wipes TWRP. I base this off the Nexus 6 TWRP instructions:

"Note many devices will replace your custom recovery automatically during first boot. To prevent this, useGoogle to find the proper key combo to enter recovery. After typing fastboot reboot, hold the key combo and boot to TWRP. Once TWRP is booted, TWRP will patch the stock ROM to prevent the stock ROM from replacing TWRP. If you don't follow this step, you will have to repeat the install."
So skip "fastboot reboot" and go directly to twrp with: "fastboot boot twrp.img" (assumes you have twrp.img in a directory where your path can find it). That actually gets you to TWRP regardless of whether you have previously flashed TWRP. Alternatively, as suggested in the paragraph above use key combo to get to recovery (provbably goes to bootloader and navigate from there). Do this before ever rebooting to android system.

thanks for your reply electricpete!
after >> fastboot flash recovery twrp.img
a message comes up <waiting for device> and nothing happens . even after 10 minutes nothing happened.

sorry: I thought I would have to react then and step into recovery mode. but obviously the img is not yet on the phone.
