Just my opinion and others have posted all the graphs and charts so I'll skip all that.
After a long history of phones going back to old Blackberry and even Thunderbolt and most recently LG G2 nothing even came close to unbelievable battery life of S7 Edge and fast charge time. I'm a happy camper so far.

Unlike the old Nokia cell phone batteries that you had to fully charge - fully drain and then fully charge again, modern cell phone batteries like it, "little and often!".

So, don't be afraid to plug your Samsung charger in at any time and preferably don't let your battery go flat too often. A bit like Snakeyeskm's pacemaker! ;)

Browsing through this thread makes me believe I made the right choice. And yes, the 12 hours is SOT. Not bad for a 31% smaller battery huh?

My battery is running about 14-16 hours with 6-7 SOT. Pretty decent I guess!

Which models of Galaxy S5 do you both have?

S7 or S7 Edge. Exynos or Snapdragon.

I've had the Edge for about three weeks now and have been satisfied with with the battery. I keep everything turned on, do some websurfing on my lunch break, and am listening to music with my bluetooth earbuds for most of the day while at work, and I'm typically returning home with about ~75% battery left. I push it a little harder on the weekends with screen on time and last weekend I had over 5hrs screen on time and probably could have managed 6. I'd say that puts it somewhere between my One Plus One and my One Plus Two, which imo is perfectly acceptable.

I just got mine on Friday. I haven't been able to get a good gauge of batt life yet.

I did recognize that my biggest drain today is Android System. What exactly is that...is there a way to fix that so it doesn't take up so much?

I have been on battery for 8.5 hours and I have 67% battery left. I have had 1 hr 25 min of screen time.

that seems to equal out to be about 4'ish hours of screen time...seems ok. Better than my Note 4.

I consider myself a power user. BT, WiFi, GPS always on.

Anyone have any power saving suggestions, I am all ears.

There's nothing to fix:
Something has to be #1 in battery usage,if it's not Android System,it's gonna be something else..........
Going by your own stats, you'll be on battery for 24 hrs before it's totally depleted.
Ya gotta sleep sometime & with quick charging, you'll be topped-off in no time flat.

Enjoy your new phone & forget about battery stats until it becomes an issue.

However,if you're reeeaaalllyyy wanting to get a bit more battery life, take a look at Package Disabler Pro:

Use with caution & only disable apps,DO NOT DELETE ANY SYSTEM APPS...........

Sorry I meant to say that Android System was #1, but at 33%. 33% seems pretty high to me.

You are right, I shouldn't have to worry about it...but I the reason I got the phone in the first place was battery life of my note 4.

That's not high. That means nothing else is using the phone's resources. Android system can go as high as 60% and it wouldn't matter as long as you're getting decent battery life. Remember, all apps listed in battery stats will always add up to 100%. If Android system goes lower, then something else will go higher. It's nothing to worry about.
