One week in after enjoying my S7 Edge

Well, first let me say that I am very happy with it. I went with the S7 Edge (silver), and my wife went with the regular S7 (gold). Yes they are fingerprint magnets, but they always shine up to brand new once I wipe them down. The gold always looks gold to me, but the silver really changes color depending on what it is reflecting off of. Attached is a picture of my Silver Titanium underneath a lamp, and it actually looks gold...kinda cool I thought.

What I like most about the S7 Edge (compared to my wifes S7, or my previous Note 4, for that matter) is that it really feels good while holding it. I have large hands, and even the Note 4 pushed the limits on my grip. My wifes S7 is cool, but it feels a bit small to me. The Edge feels "just right". I feel that this is the perfect size for a cell phone in your hand.

The battery seems to be holding strong, but I have been getting lots of app updates, so usually the first week of battery status is not a great indicator. I'll hold judgement on that for a few more weeks. What I really love about the battery is the wireless charging. I purchased two yootech chargers http://www.amazon.com/Wireless-Char...&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00 and they are working great! Two of these is still cheaper than Samsungs offering of one wirless charger.

I few cons that I still need to get used too...the screen is very touchy, so I'm jumping into apps or misspelling text often. Also, the fingerprint scanner is not perfect for me yet. I have alot of trouble with it and usually have to enter a pin since the fingerprint scanner rejects the swipes. A SD Card notification still remains on my lock screen, and I cant figure out how to remove it. And finally, the AUX is on the bottom, why?

All in all, a beautiful phone, and really happy with my purchase! Let me know how you are enjoying yours.

MM

A fair review but may I offer a bit of advice?

It concerns your comment regarding the fingerprint scanner. I also experienced problems with this at first as I wrongly assumed that you would have to swipe your finger/thumb across the sensor. I have since discovered that this is not necessary and you simply have to place your finger/thumb on the sensor and hold it still.

I hope this at least solves that problem for you.

Yes, just hold the finger on there. Also, when setting up a fingerprint, make sure to hit all areas of the finger you may touch to unlock it. After being set up, it doesn't matter at what angle you hold your finger, as long as that part matches (it self-corrects for rotation.) I've been very pleased with this fingerprint experience after having come from the Galaxy S5, which, in my opinion, was terrible.

I have also used mine for a little over a week. Upon end of first day, the phone for crazy hot during app updates, I never measured it with tools or apps but when I know it's uncomfortable to hold, that's gotta be something higher than 40c.
The fingerprint setup was tiresome but worthwhile and never had any problems unlocking. Advise you to also scan more than 1 finger
