Hi, I recently installed stock ROM following the instructions from this post:
http://androidforums.com/threads/htc-one-m8-unusable.995871/#post-7212766

Here's the link of my first post addressing the original issue where you can find all the details regarding my phone:
http://androidforums.com/threads/htc-one-m8-ee-uk-locked-stuck-on-bootloop.1004789/

So after the installation I was really pleased that the phone was back to normal and for a month nothing happened. Then a few days back, my phone was lagging and I decided to restart the phone. After the reboot, the audio has completely vanished. I can't play any songs, videos start but they are as on mute. same goes for playing videos on Instagram and YouTube. Actually on YouTube I get the error message '' There was a problem while playing Touch to retry''. I can't even make or receive calls anymore. If I try to dial a number the screen freezes and I have no other option but to reboot. Also when I open the camera app, the video recording option doesn't work.

Yesterday I did a factory reset, first wiped everything from the internal memory and again installed the ROM with TWRP, but the problem still persists. I have tried using the app SoundAbout (free version) that doesn't work either. I'm receiving notifications but on vibrate mode. Even the alarm was buzzing on vibrate this morning!

Any support would be appreciated. Thank you.

I'm confused, do you mean you installed (and currently have) the WWE x.xx.401.x ROM that is from the first link? The original posts as per the second link were for taking you back to stock for your specific carrier CID.

So I'm not sure what you intended to achieve by then flashing the WWE stock backup, but this is not stock for your current firmware version. Although both are for GSM variants so I'd expect most things to work ok, clearly something isn't happy. Did you take a full backup in TWRP after getting back to the stock Orange ROM? When you refer to flashing the ROM again, which ROM do you mean?

Sorry I'm still not clear, the x.xx.401.x is the WWE stock ROM. The x.xx.61.x is the Orange stock ROM. It may just be being a bit thick, but which was it you downloaded and flashed?

oh really, my bad I thought that x.xx.401.x was the compatible ROM so I downloaded and flashed that. I just followed the instructions from the xda link and until now the phone was working. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Should I then download and flash x.xx.61.x ROM ?

UPDATE: I've downloaded and flashed 6.12.61.4
After rebooting the phone, there is still no audio. There is no sound coming from the front speakers, neither the mic is working. Due to this I'm unable to make or receive calls.
Check screenshot attached showing the volume tray. Screenshot_20160416-182411.png
