Hello again ... I have a LG smart phone that was given to me by a friend. I know absolutely nothing about it... according to what I see on the inside of the phone is model: VM720 and it uses a BL-59JH LG battery. I am not getting any activity only an message about a source booting error ... cause: boot certification verify.

Any idea how I can correct this or can it be corrected. Thank you for reading my post. :)

Hello again ... well sir ... I was directed to the manufacturer site with my phone and followed the instructions to a T, but I am stuck on #16:Open the Windows Device Manager control panel and expand the Ports (COM & LPT) section to display the LGE AndroidNet USB Serial Port. ... Well sir ... it isn't listed ... only two things listed there. Any idea what I did wrong?

Okay ... I notice in my system tray that a QHSUSB_DLOAD driver was not installed so I had windows install it. Now it is listed in the Port as RELINK HS-USB QDLoader 9008 (COM3) I got that driver from the manufacture's site for that model. I guess the name is going to be different than what is in the instructions. Correct me if I am wrong.

Oh my goodness this is so very strange ... that line under the port has disappeared when I went back to the device manager. I even reinstalled the driver and it is still not listed. It was a GHOST! ... and it isn't even Halloween:eek:. :)
No sir ... I have not flashed anything yet. I'm still getting the secure boot error and when I had the phone off and held the up volume while connecting the phone the light around the touch bar under the screen was flashing red. The screen was black. Isn't that driver I downloaded correct? It certainly should be.o_O I went into the programs feature and uninstalled it for now. Any ideas? These little phone are as much of a head scratcher as working on a desktop.

Well sir ... I don't see anything about download mode or firmware upgrade. I reinstalled the driver I showed in the link. And I unplugged the USB cable from the phone with the power off and held the up volume, but nothing happen. I held it for a good while. I plugged the USB cable back into the phone while holding the up volume ... all that happen was the light flashed red, then went green on the recall bar under the screen. I let go and the logo comes on the screen and that's it. It's froze like that after a couple of minutes the secure boot error is back. I'm going to pull out my pellet gun and lay it out like you have to let it know I mean business! :D

Without having a first person view of the issue it's hard to say. Keep in mind you're providing limited information as far as what happened prior to this. Have you tried different USB cables?

Have you tried this way?
Remove the battery plug in the USB cable, press and hold volume up till it shows download mode on phone.
What USB ports are you using 2.0 or 3.0?, desktop or laptop?

I don't see how QHSUSB_DLOAD drivers would help you unless you have extensive repair knowledge and all or a majority of the partitions are corrupted.

Try this link go down to the F3 listing, also different USB cables might work.

Hilly Ho! Hope you are enjoying the holiday if you observe it. Well sir ... I'm not sure if that was the correct driver or not that showed up in my system tray. But if you check post #7 I provided the link where I got the driver ... It is from the manufacture site. That QHS driver has disappeared. The USB ports are 3.0 on my desktop and I am running win7 64. I will try without the battery and get back to you. I did contact I hope was the manufacturer ... I use the contact on the web page with my phone. I put up a link to that too. Letting them know I can't get into download mode. I don't know when they will respond. The USB cable works with the Gowin Phone ... and it looks like the computer can see the LG phone ... so I think the cable is ok.

Well sir ... I think my LG has gone to the great beyond in cyber space. I can't get anything out of it at all now. I'll hold down the power button and nuthin honey ... the home bar flashes briefly but that's about it. I didn't do anything to it except let it sit for a couple of days. I made sure the battery was charged, but I had no way of knowing if it was fully charged or not ... just put it on the charger for several hours. I tried removing the battery and putting it back in, but that didn't help. I think that phone just didn't like me.o_O
HAPPY HOLIDAYS! Everybody!!!:D
