Receiving duplicate text messages

Hi all, I've been hit with the duplicate text message issue...sometimes I receive just two extra, but last night I received 19 duplicate messages. The odd thing is the dups come only from my wife. We are both on the same ATT plan, but she doesn't receive duplicate messages from me.

I use the default text app, and have tried resetting it to default, but that didn't help.
I have a G3, Android ver. 5.01.

Anyone have a similar issue and gotten fixed?

Probably a network issue, or something wonky on her phone.

That is what I thought at first, but I'm the only one that gets the dups from her...nobody else. I chatted with ATT yesterday, and all they could come up with was to do a "network refresh." Will see if it helps.

Try restarting both phones.
And does it happen all the time, or only when she's at a place with poor signal?

I was close to wiping my phone and starting over, but since ATT did the "network refresh" I have not gotten any more duplicates texts. I wouldn't consider it resolved at this point, but am hopeful.
