Sorry Ironass, your graphic is a bit short on the early (left) side. The link below states that mobile phones existed since 1975, but I know they were already there a few years earlier. They were the aize of a small suite case and very heavy. Also, if you look up on Swisscom.ch site you will find that they still use their old name, Natel.

Check out the SCREEN SIZE on the graphic - I think THAT's the point . . . ;)
