I cant seem to find some of these apps? Layers, htc_ime or voice search? Why can i not see them?

Layer isnt called that.... its by Layar and its called Reality Browser 3.0 when you search for Layar on the market.

Just started playing with this last night, looks okay, but need to play in a larger area to see if any good, like a town centre.

Advanced Task Killer
Battery Level (shows as % on notification bar so easier to read)
Facebook (but could be improved)
Newspapers
Google Sky Maps (the app when you want to show off your geekhood to others lol)
Solitaire (coz you just have to have it lol)
Movies
Zedge (for ringtones & wallpapers)
Soccer Livescores

Problem is that the phone button on the homescreen is quite big and i end up going in the app and randomly call someone (mostly very late at night)
or I tap on the wrong person and I end up calling them :(
You're going in the wrong place if we're talking about the same thing.

Go to the app called People, not the Phone button on the home screen, I don't think you can do this from the Phone button?

A few from me:

Astrid
A really good to do app, with nice homescreen widget, syncs with remember the milk.

Retro clock/ retro date
lekky mentioned them but they are really nice compact widgets, fits nicely next to the Astrid widget on my home screen.

MixZing
Another +1 for this simple music app with lock screen controls.

just had a look at what access the (Astrid) app has ie; (your location, network communication, your personal information) etc etc. Is it safe to download it onto my phone do you know?

Cheers

Screebl Lite - keeps your screen active at certain angles (no more having to tap the screen to keep it awake)
Apps Organizer - best way to make "folders" that are alphabetized and can be easily sorted
Sketch Online Beta - awesome fun Pictionary-esque online game
Word Up - my favorite "before bed" mindless game
LED Light - uses your camera LED as flashlight (careful, as some say it may affect brightless if left on too long)

Google Goggles take a photo of something, company logo, landmark, book cover, etc & it does an internet lookup.
Color flashlight any flashlight app really. they come in handy
ewallet secure data store for personal info. passwords, credit card numbers, etc.
metal detector it's a silly app that doesn't work very well, but it actually does work.
