Root How to Disable OTA Updates

I don't know if you guys know that, but you can also disable thermal throttling and brightness reduction with that combo too.
It's very simple to do! just use the combo which was used to disable ota (thanks LG Fanatic :)) Then once the hidden menu pops up, navigate to the POWER menu, then go to high temperature property, in there, change high temp prop OFF to enabled, then head back to the power menu, scroll down until you find thermal daemon mitigation, tap on it, then change thermal mitigation to disabled. And Done,no GPU/CPU throttling and brightness reduction to prevent overheating anymore. Tested here and did not see any increase in heat over stock settings. It even increased my antutu score from 21635 to 22768! Not to mention that the phone is more responsive overall.

Nice. Be careful with that though. You'll need make sure the phone doesn't get too hot or you might risk the phone overheating and possibly damaging its motherboard.

Thanks for the advice:).I have been testing the phone for 3 days with heavy gaming and did not feel any noticeable temperature increase over stock settings. But yeah, it is good to test the changes before making it permanent.;)

there are many variants of Lg Leon around, ones include tv,Some 4G, others 8Mp camera,Not to mention the carrier versions like metroPCS and Sunset, which have some changes over Lg's default model for example. That is what a am asking.Which one of them do you have?

About Cyanogen Mod, i find it much better than our stock rom, faster, fancier, etc, the only reason i am not using it for now is the camera(use it alot).;)But if you are using CM, then it is probably the cause of the few option in the hidden menu(i didn't use the hiden menu while in CM, I don't think we need to disable OTA in CM.):)
