Root need help with rom

Hello this is android admirer again
The rom i am working on
Every time i try and flash it through twrp it says " error executing update binary"

Its the 6.0 update
Any one know what i could do???

Hi Bud,
Maybe you can try using the binary from the metro update.zip .

The binary your talking about is the next to the updater script in meta info file right ? I have tried pasting some other inary into it but not that

Whats happening is that twrp says it expect the fingerprint i guess of the twrp 5.1.1 but the rom is fingerprint 6.0 soo i tried placing the same binary from the twrp inside the rom meta info file of course it was a no go is there another twrp besides the one have like one for 6.0
Is that what the insecured bootstack kernal is for 6.0
Does it have twrp in it

I been using this one and used it on 6.0 today . It works on 5.1.1 for me all along too.
The only thing that I have strange is there is now a message on booting either 5 or 6 stating
that the bootloader is unlocked. I even restored a 5.1 recovery from 6.o today with no problems.

Viper, did you try the Skinny ROM yet? I'm on rooted T-mobile Marshmallow 6.0 and want to try this.

YES SIR I DID. VERY NICE WORK!!!!
Flashed , Loaded . Restored Everything. It was Rooted .

My installed Twrp Worked (The Omni Test One - Cause I had the original Firmware Stylo) and I can Restore back to my LP recoverys.

I did unlocked my Boot loader with the "all in one Tool" . I had to update the ADB package it had and Updated SuperSU but it Got MY bootloader unlocked.

HEY YOU GUYS!

If you wanna do it the easy way Check out the Skinny Stylo Rom . Its on XDA you won"\' have problems finding IT. I'D load a Link but I Havn't Got Permision from the dev and I'm Only A junior member on their site and don't wanna break anyones ruleZ......
I'M sure the Metro update could be used to Create a Carrier Specific Version.

GO TRY IT OUT !!!!

only con I found was an app " com.tmobile.pr.adapt.apk "
keeps asking For root access using battery but I'll get It and delete it.
If You goggle thee app you'll see WHY.
Edit: tmobiles my account app was doing the extra work. Ripped it out . but still don't get why it kept hitting up superSU.

I Repeat check out skinny it will hold you guys over till more Development Is done.

Hey i have the 2nd gen stylo from metro
And the omni recovery is half screen / half all blue screen for my phone

***just like the cm12.1 rom some of us got half screen but some didn't

Isn't that twrp based on 5.1.1 and seems to conflict with flashing and any 6.0 roms

i am really not sure...one thing i do know is that it isnt updated to support systemless root...yet despite of that, i was able to use it to flash the super su zip and get 6.0 rooted...whether or not it conflicts with flashing and any 6.0 roms hopefully someone more knowledgeable then me will chime in...

edit actually i didnt use that version, i used the original version for the first gen stylo

I own the 2nd generation lg stylo from metro and some of the roms and such have the problem of the screen res where when you flash, say the cm12.1 some people like me were getting a half/ blue half regular screen
Soo.....
I ported the omni recovery to my device and it i need help
It boots up but i have no option to select external sd and no way to wipe anything but some cashe
So anyone who can fix it please do or point me in the right direction

To be clear this is 6.0 based twrp

Any time i use the other twrp
The roms usually say extracting system and never flash or say expecting a different fingerprint than the twrp has so i thought by bringing the twrp up to date this would solve it

will that work with first gen stylos?

also does this mean that if i wanted to flash that skinny rom (or any other 6.0 rom) it wouldnt work since i have the original twrp that was made for the first gen stylo?

The best way to answer you with the best guess on which twrp works best is , Pull your battery and share your build ver and build date. Others here will gladly share what works on theirs.
With the different hardware changes there has been a few twrp builds.
If your twrp worked properly on LP it seems to work on MM. Its best to check it out and have it work correctly when you have the LP Kdz to recover back up with then not .

This is confusing. I have TWRP 2.8.7.0...can't find the original download..where in TWRP does it show the version?

Well 2.8.7.0 is the version but all these different downloads. What in the world is the difference?

i only know of 2 different versions and they are both 2.8.7.0...the first one was made for the original stylos, the second was made for the 2nd batch of stylos because they had a different screen that didnt play nice with the first version of twrp and only showed half of the screen

Both versions work to flash 6.0 rom's, only difference between the two is depending on which stylo you have (old or new screen) you'll have a half screen and unresponsive touch.... which you have will be very obvious once you try them out.

Hello it's android admirer with
Twrp 3.0.2.0 I ported to our device

Bugs....
1. At first boot, touch is non -
responsive but.....
the first time it times out when you use power button to turn it back on touch is fine.
2.inside twrp in wipe, the only option is to wipe dalvic/art cache and nothing else

3. There is no external sd mounted
