Hey all, I have the Fierce XL, and for some reason, I can't send or receive MMS messages containing attachments.

All the APN settings are fine, I even reset the phones network settings, but I can't send a freaking MMS or receive them at all. Even went to the store, dude couldn't find the problem. Anyone else having this problem?

Also, I am thinking of rooting the phone, but I'd like to keep a backup of the stock rom. Anyone know what rom this is?

I have the exact same issue. The phone just hangs & we get the "Could not send..." error a couple of days later. I bought two of these phones about a month ago & noticed the issue right away, went to the store, they refreshed the network & it stopped. Just noticed today it has started up again. I found a link w some APN settings that can be used for this specific phone but this site won't let me post it here; says it's spam or something, it didn't work though or would work on one phone but not the other. We love the phones; it would be a shame if I had to take them back.

Could you please send me those settings!? Send them through a PM!

CAN SOMEONE HELP WITH THIS PLEASE!? MetroPCS and Alcatel are damn idiots, they said reset the APN, okay... Do I have to do that EVERY time I want to send an MMS? It doesn't even work anymore, this is purely a setting problem by either Metro or Alcatel and it doesn't let you edit the main settings for it. YES my network is working, 4GLTE, yes I can go online but NO I can't send or receive MMS messages. This is extremely annoying!

Hey Elf, I haven't tried that yet simply because it will NOT let me change the APN because it's greyed out and I think even when I add a new APN, the main one is always enabled. Nothing connects me, but I did find a fix though a really stupid one and I am hoping yours will work.

All you have to do is go to network mode where you can choose 4GLTE and LTE off, you simply turn LTE OFF. That is the stupidest fix!

Can you tell me exactly how you changed your APN, because every time I add a new one, it never connects to 4G unless I use the original config.
