Damage Control Rooted Sprint CDMA hero issue

So I just joined the rooted side of things and it was quite nerve wrecking to root for someone who isn't experienced, but i did it and it worked.
Issue is as follows:
status: ROM damage control
Trying to update with DCupdater for damage control 2.0.8.1, but the screen gets stuck on SU request.

How should I fix this?

Also i had to redownload Rom manager by clockworldMOD and it won't flash clockword MOD recovery so i can use it?

Am i doing something wrong, please help?

did you hit "always allow" on the SU request?

Not sure where you can do that for SU request.
Its a black screen with a bar on top stating SU request. Nothing happens.

I have also notice that when I try to start superuser permission program, it won't start, its just a black screen.

Doesn't Damage control have the tethering app included or do i need to install that separately?

If it does, my doesn't have it and what should i do???

You need to enable USB debugging for the SU program to work. Menu > settings > applications > development.

if you can not find it.. then download it and install... you can do a quick search on this forum or go to XDA.

you need to turn the switch on .. debug mode... to fix the SU permissions thing.

i think, you should not upgrade to 2.08.1 just yet.. spend sometime with this ROM first....get to know what u got... do a nandroid backup....
then try the new version....
