I used to have a Galaxy S5 and never had a problem with the calendar app. Once an appointment came due, it came up on the main screen until you addressed it.
On my S7, if my screen is locked, the notification comes up full screen and basically stays active until I address it. If I am logged in, the phone will make the sound, and a bar will appear at the top with the basic appt information, stays visible for about 5 seconds and then appears as a teeny weenie itty bitty icon on the top bar. If you happen to be in another room and you are logged on to your phone you might not even realize you got a notification. Anyone know of a way to get it to take over the screen like if you're screen is locked, or can recommend another calendar app that works better?
