Root Help Please Metro PCS LG G Stylo not sure if Hard or Soft brick

Was going to return 2 stock, after following instructions I find myself in this situation. Was on Lollipop still flashed bootstack, then return 2 stock and after wiping dalvik cache etc. TWRP ask if i want to install root I tapped do not install. Phone turned off & won't turn back on no matter what I do. I plug it in to my PC and i hear a chime that a device has been connected but don't know what I could possibly do. If anyone could point me in the right direction it will be greatly appreciated.

I'd try to see if it will go into download mode. Plug usb cable into a computer , hold volume + and plug into charging port. It should go into d/l mode. If it does you can use unbricking method if you want to. You should be able to factory reset with the key combination method . Pulling the battery and hold power button for 10 seconds is the first thing to try.


All this is for tmobile or metro pcs models. If your on boost or vm you will need to return to lg for warranty.

This where I'm at, it won't go past 5% tells me to unplug pull the batter out and try again. Also I'm not getting any response from the phone. Again I hear a chime from my PC when i plug the phone in. But nothing comes up on the screen. Any ideas.

Hmmm, try hitting Windows+R and type devmgmt.msc Or you can hit Windows+X and Hit the lettter m on your keyboard (Device Manager)

There look for any peculiar devices under "Storage Devices" or Unknown devices! If you find anything like QHUSB_BULK under Other Devices (I think it's something like that!) then you'll know that this is a hard brick, and with LG G series devices, there's currently no known way to recover from it
