Do you have the phone rooted and CWM recovery installed? You need to do that first before you can flash the kernel. There is a lot of information under the all things root sticky on rooting and recoveries if you need help.http://androidforums.com/threads/vi...-things-root-guide-updated-01-15-2015.726081/ Just be aware that once you root and start messing with stuff you can brick your phone if you aren't careful. So go slow and be very careful if you are using the phone and can't afford to have it go down on you. Root and recovery is first, then make a new backup at each step so you can recover to that point if something goes wrong. Good luck! I'll try to help if I can.

i mistakenly disabled a setting and now i can not hold the home button to have all the background apps show. i get an " Unfortunately, system UI has stopped" prompt. how can i fix this.

also i have been trying to free up space so that i could install google maps because the allocated space is so small. what is the best way to install apps so i do not run into that problem anymore.

freeing up space is the reason it happen. i may have deleted something in the pursuit of making more space. as far as i know that is the only problem i am running into.
