Help S6 won't stay on silent after recent update

Hi There,

I recently updated my software on my Samsung Galaxy S6. Ever since the update if I put my phone on silent and go and do something that requires sound (ie, an app, or get a phone call) my phone automatically put's itself back onto sound mode.

This is extremely frustrating especially at work. I have uninstalled any battery saving apps I have in case that was the case.

Please help!!!

Hi!

Yes, it occurs even if I change the volume with the sliders.
When this problem initially occurred I thought it was possibly due to an update on a battery saver app I have on my phone. I uninstalled that app and still had the issue.

Lately I noticed my battery draining more, so I reinstalled the app (Avast! Battery Saver) and it has fixed the volume problem. Not sure what happened, but I'm glad it's fixed!

Thanks for looking into it for me! -- now just to fix the battery problem, lol
