Am I the only one? I don't get it? Everybody seems to be saying how beautiful this phone is or how gorgeous that phone is, to me, apart from minor differences all new phones look the same. I liked the faux leather on the Note 4, at least it set it apart. I expect the Note7 will look much the same as the Note 5 apart from an iris scanner that will be no more secure than "password".

Since my phones are always in a case, I am not too concerned about the back. I do like the faux leather of the N4, and I am not a fan of a glass back on a phone, but mine will be in a case regardless. I thought the video showed a nice looking phone from what we could see. Really, there is only so much you can do with a rectangular body with curved corners and edges - which is what every phone has in essence.

First video leak!

http://phandroid.com/2016/07/20/samsung-galaxy-note-7-video/

Looks like a great size: plenty of screen real estate, even with the edges, but comfortable in the hand. Come on, August 2nd!

:D

EDIT: Whoops, I was ninja'd. Sorry, J_Hansen :)
NO worries man

To be honest if it's the 820 processor, 4gig ram, 5.7 screen, 64 gigs and still 5.7 screen then I can't see it being an 850 euro upgrade over the note 4.
Hopefully Samsung will surprise us with a whopper but we hoped for that in the Note five as well and it seemed like a step backwards for most people.
If they don't deliver something really special this time I'll just do what I did with my note 2 & 3 after a year and root and flash a well sorted custom ROM on my note 4 instead, the newer note was obviously prettier than the last one but the customisation and battery life with custom ROMS wins for me over pretty looks of latest model

Are custom roms better at power handling now? I remember when we all used to underclock roms to save battery and all it did was extend cpu up time!

Don't ask me about the underlying tech bits as I haven't a ****ing clue, guess it depends on the ROM and how well it's put together but I know that I've had way better battery life with custom ROMS than stock ones plus more customisation and performance in terms of on screen time and less random lag etc..

I'm not sure what other improvements you are looking for over the Note 4. I have the Note 4 (and 5). What is it that you think you wouldn't be able to do well with a 820 processor, 4GB of RAM and a 64GB storage?

Obviously The Note 7 is quite expensive, and what equates to value is different for everyone. Still, it's hard not to see the value added here for me. Note 7 improvements over the Note 4 (and 5) abound:
- Water resistance
- Much improved camera (faster focus, better lowlight, quicker launch with double-tap of the
home button)
- Bigger battery
- Better screen (The Note 5 screen is better than the 4 too)
- Faster CPU
- More RAM
- Built in Wireless charging, Wireless fast charging
- More refined software
- Many more S-pen features (Some of the new ones seem great)
- Always on screen (if you like that)

It is expensive, but for me it's well worth it .
