Preregistration folio case?

Did anyone else preregister? I did but never received any email, text, or any other sort of confirmation. I called my local store to ask and they didn't know anything about it. They told me to call customer support, but since I haven't signed up yet, it seems literally impossible to get through to a live person without having an account first. Whether I get the case or not isn't really a big deal, but what is a big deal is how frustrating it is to try to find out anything about the folio case promotion from a live person. Anyone have any input on this?

July 31st was the last day to pre-register for the free folio case so if you haven't already done it, it's too late now. Then again, you would have to wait 4-6 weeks for it to arrive anyways.

I pre-registered last week, but must've missed the part that said the email would take a while to get to me, and I couldn't go back to look at the registration page because they took it down already. I'll probably just skip it then, I don't care that much about the case and I'd rather not wait to get the phone. Thanks to both of you.

From what I understand, you have to fill out a form that you mail in, and then you get the case after 4-6 weeks. I did pre-register but I'm not eligible for the free case because I got mine 2 days before the official release date which is today.

Oh so I will be able to still get the case then, once I get my email? Good to know if true.

Since the page has been taken down, I managed to find this email which confirms what I was saying about the window being from 8/1-8/15 BUT, @UndacoverBrother I still hope you are right about it being valid for all purchases made before 8/15 even the ones made before the official launch date of 8/1. I don't like folio cases enough to pay for one but if I can still get one for free that would be nice.

He stated " They have been getting calls about the free case from consumers since 7//25 actually". Many metro stores released the phone early. Especially here on the west coast.

I guess when they made the pre-registration page they weren't counting on the phones becoming available before the official release date.

I haven't. I ordered my own case that's going to arrive tomorrow. But, I'd still like my free case too. It might be better.

Are we supposed to receive the email within 7 days of preregistration? or within 7 days after purchasing the phone?

Looks like we're all in the dark on this one. I did find this here:

From a couple of the comments there, I'm guessing it's automatically sent when you set up your account with the same email you preregistered with, though that's just a guess. From the bottom comment, looks like someone from ZTE is looking into how it's supposed to work and will get back to the people there with the info.

How about that "many will enter but few will win" part, that doesn't sound great. The impression I got from preregistering was that it was guaranteed. Maybe they're just covering their bases? Guess I'll find out in 4-6 weeks.

Looks like I got a confirmation email too right after that... it's got all the information I put into the form online but that's all that's in the email, no info about the case. If I get any other info I'll post it.

Please do.... I was wondering about the case that I preregistered for but never heard back about... Glad somebody started this thread! But no biggie either way, I just wanted the damn phone.

Turns out my redemption email was in my gmail promotions folder, and yeah it was the same link

Yeah I got the same thing. Found it in my spam folder, for good reason. @5318008 I initially read it the same way; preregister and get a folio case lol..... Losers. But yeah we'll see in six weeks, or a year if it's same processing time as a Metro rebate

I'm not holding on to any hopes of it showing up haha

Got my phone yesterday. No pre registration, no nothing. Still I went to the page and signed up for a free case and got a confirmation email!!!

Yeah, the link provided is the correct one for case redemption. I think it's pretty shady of them to say "few will WIN". Pre-registration implied the case was a certainty, not a possibility. We'll see what happens. I also bought a case off Amazon, but, hey, free is free.
