trouble with note 5, blue flame ring, fast charge, virus?

hello all,

first post. I'm experience an issue with my note 5 from verizon. the issue is that every so often i see a small blue flame like ring on the sceen around the center button, while this is occuring the phone is beeping and acting crazy. ive installed norton, no virus found, also malware cleaners, nothing turns up...and also the phone will no longer fast charge. wanted to see if anyone had similar issues and what to do about it?

please advise and thank you, eric -

ok, so now im really in trouble...talked to verizon support, dude telneted into my phone, said all my 2000+ pics were backed up, and did a factory reset. Now all my pics are gone? Is there any way to get them back? I know I should have backed them up, but I didnt. Any ideas will help, thanks in advance. cheers.
Did the tech back them up to Verizon's cloud?

eew boy :(
Using different recovery programs to extract deleted photos is a hit and miss...mostly miss. Especially when new data is written to the device.
Pretty doggone sure those pix are gone forever, sorry :(
Did the tech state where exactly he backed them up to? I would assume you contacted Verizon again to inquire?

verizon "tech coach" imho really sucks, no accountability, and really a bunch of bs talk, zero substance. in this situation, i listened to some idiot tech coach, ignored my own better judgment, and got screwed. My advise to anyone here...backup all your stuff before you call these clowns. At the end of the day, this is my fault...wont do that again.

While this is different from my symptoms (on Sprint), I am curious if Samsung Gear VR installation/upgrade happened shortly before these problems. If this issue is power/charger/battery related it is possibly the same problem. See my post "gear vrsoftware causes power sharing charger and battery warnings and errors". It might be worth a try and it is easy to check.
