I mentioned it somewhere else around here I think, but yea there's a story. I grew up a huge Superman fan, so much so that, along with my nature of always wanting to help whenever I could, that people started calling me Superman. As the years have drawn on, I feel more and more like a shell of that person, a "fallen Superman" if you will. So, the avatar really spoke to me, since as in that movie and that scene specifically Superman is battling his own demons. So I guess, bottom line, pour me another....

I started using a new watchface from facerepo with some modifications of my own. The old one I was using got corrupted or something and I kept getting app errors with android wear. The new one seemed to fix it somehow.

That cheapo band from China finally came. It is really cheap. I mean, really, really cheap. Did you ever cut a really soft neoprene? Like I don't mean the resistant to cutting stuff they make fuel lines out of, I mean the stupidly pliable stuff they make waterproof window gaskets out of? That's what this feels like. A moderately sharp knife goes through it like the proverbial butter. If you decide to buy one of these just to try, buy two. Then you can learn how easily they cut and make mistakes on one and do it right on the other. The buckle isn't horrible. It is again cheap but it does have a safety on it. If it fails, the buckle is not where it would occur. It would be up by the pins.
Speaking of pins, it didn't come with any. Thankfully I bought a pack of like 200 different sized watch pins.
I used it for a grand total of about 20 minutes. I decided I didn't want my $350 watch dangling from a $4 band. LOL
Back to the leather.

Absolutely nothing frilly or anything. Honestly all I was trying to do was see how close I could get to a Rolex Submariner using only elements from Watchmaker Pro. The hands are the hard part with doing that as obviously these aren't even in the ballpark. They're based upon the factory Moto "Minimal" watch face.
I figured if any of you guys want a base for a watch face that's really close to the Sub... here ya go.
Edit: Already an update. I had an idea about how to make the watch hands more Submariner looking.

This is a "What If" watch that will make sense once you look at it. It's based upon my Digital Dials and is an interpretation of what a major manufacturer's Android Wear device might look like if they ever offered one, using look-alike design elements and fonts.
I named it the "Voyager."
Let me know what you think.

Here's an update to Racer. P.S. the little red line is midday. Nothing else intense. The 24h marker is easier to read. More icons to make it look high tech. Minor tweaks to stuff for better visibility.

Well I love my BVS and I am happy others will get to share in it's pure awesomeness. Thank you again.
I had a thought, don't know if it's possible, but a Camping watch face would be cool, compass, moon phases, barometric pressure, along with current weather conditions. You know for outdoorsy geeks like me that are just as comfortable in a comic shop as they are in a canoe fishing on a still lake at 5AM.
Color palette of tans, greens, browns, burnt orange ya know outdoorsy stuff.
Just a thought.

That's not a bad idea. I'm going to be pretty busy this weekend but I'll keep that one in mind. I did one of the combat Bamford Rolex ones a little while ago but I don't recall if I ever posted it. I'd have to find it. Something along those lines might be cool.

I've been insanely busy lately including a trip to DC for work. I meant to post these a while ago...
This is still my daily driver for watch bands. I really love the way it looks. And for $16 you can't go wrong!

I'm sorry I made this lefty. Making it righty would be real easy. Set the black box (5th element along) from -184 to 184 and the date from -177 to 177. Should line up perfectly.
The buttons you can make whatever you want. I have them set to Weather, Google Messenger, PixtoCam and Settings. Just change the tap actions of the circles to whatever you want them to be.

Being a high end watch collector with only automatic movements, I was having a hard time finding the perfect smart watch. The Moto 360 2nd Gen 46mm was the best looking and functional smart watch that looked really good. It just arrived and I'm currently trying to become smart with it. Found this dial which allowed me to put my name under the logo. Cool touch.
