MetroPCS

So, I had to reflash the Metro kdz and go back to stock Lollipop as I bricked/bootlooped my Stylo.

Then, I took the OTA updates to Marshmallow and then to the latest OTA - 20c

So, now, I am pure stock Marshmallow and this advanced messaging feature isn't there.

Even stranger is my wife had this feature on her Stock Metro Stylo w/Marshmallow and now it's gone from her phone. (No, I am not imagining this as we tried to test this out between our phones. I had it when I flashed the Skinny (Tmobile ROM) on my phone when it was rooted.)

i figured you would have checked that but thought id ask...does it say you have messaging version 4.70.31.1?

i was prompted to download a compatibility patch for apps through the update center...but since i havent applied the latest ota (and i read that the ota changes apps somehow?) i figured it was related to that...have you gotten that compatibility patch prompt?

Weird...Maybe try using the 20c kdz and see if you get it with that?

Edit or is it possible they just got rid of it? Now I'm feeling a bit more motivated to flash it and find out...

I am already on 20c.

My wife's Stylo is completely stock and she had it after the Marshmallow update. Sometime since then, it disappeared. I'm not sure what happened.

Did you see this?
To flash firmwware with LG UP on MS631, You need to install LG UP, LG USB drivers, LG UP DLL for MS631. If you experience “Uknown model” error, You may boot your phone into download mode before you run the LG UP Software.

I saw that and put into download mode and still got "Unknown model".

No worries, I used the old LG Flash tool and flashed a lollipop kdz. Then I took the OTA to Marshmallow.
