hi everyone

First post and my first ever android tv box!

I'm used to running kodi but on a acer revo so I know some setting like video calibration etc but for the life of me can't seem to solve this one...

Basicly my issue is on kodi gui the screen is fully used as it should be at 1080p but once I play a video it seems that kodi/android removes the black bars automatically once this happens if I go back to the gui it's either over stretched or very narrow depending on the video I have watched.

I have made sure "remove black bars" option is off I have even done "video calibration" while playing the video but it simply stays right for a few seconds and then stretches the video again?

Anyone had this know a solution?

Cheers

I suspect that it's the TV that is re-sizing your video, not the Android box or the Kodi app.

Do you get the same results when playing the same video files through another program like VLC?
If you do then it's clearly not the Kodi app.

Have you tried playing the video files through RCA connectors instead of the HDMI socket?
