I downloaded & installed it last night because I was being impatient. [emoji23]

Yesterday I read on another forum that if you sign up for the Google Android Beta program, you'll get it faster; I signed up & almost immediately got notified of the update to 7. It took a LONG time to download but was a smooth update otherwise.

I don't see a lot of changes, the pull-down menu changed a little, & I've spotted one or two other small differences.

I ran the Developer preview since DP3 and had an awesome experience. Yesterday at 2:00pm eastern-standard time I got the update. I'm keeping my 5X enrolled i'm looking forward to new and exciting features as the months roll on.
Likewise for me; I went to the developer preview as soon as dp3 came out and have been on since. I've really been living it. I'm going to stay on and get the quarterly updates ahead of time also.

I had been having some intermittent slowness on my phone, & it got worse after updating. I did a factory reset a couple of days ago & it's still slow. I don't know if it's a particular app or what's causing it.

Wifi also seems a little weird right now. At work, my wifi signal is only about half full, it used to always be full. I know this could be related to our work network, but the timing coincides with the update. I also don't seem to be picking up wifi connections as often as I was before the update.

Hopefully this settles down soon & is back to normal.

I'm supposed to get my 5X today and wondering if I should go right for Nougat or just run with Marshmallow for a while. The only hurdle I can see is getting it working on Verizon. I have a Verizon sim in my Droid Maxx 2 so I should be good to go. If I put the sim in my old Lumia 822 it comes right up on Verizon's network.

I can't wait. :)

Well I got my 5X Friday. Installed my sim and the phone came right up on Verizon. Installed all the security updates and patches. I did have the weird wifi throughput issue that some people have seen. Dog slow, just awful. Read somewhere that enabling Bluetooth would fix it. I didn't believe that for a second but it did fix it! I Googled some more and rather than a hardware problem it seemed that it might be caused by some incompatiblity issue with the router's radio. I had another router around and I put it up as an access point and the 5X connects to that with no throughput issues so at least I know it's not a hardware problem. The problem existed on Marshmallow and Nougat.

Right after I knew how to get decent wifi speeds I joined the Beta program and downloaded Nougat.

Overall happy with the 5X and Nougat so far.

I've still been having a couple of issues with my Nexus 5X (unrooted). The version of Nougat I initially downloaded through the Beta program was NRD90R.

1) My phone sometimes gets really sluggish & takes so long to wake up when I put in a fingerprint or the pattern lock, that sometimes it doesn't fully wake up, & it dozes off again. Could this be related to Doze? I don't even know what to look at, it's very intermittent; sometimes happens on wifi, sometimes on mobile data.

2) Yesterday on my drive home from work I heard a beep from my phone so I took a peek, a system update had just downloaded. Over mobile data.... which drove my Google Fi usage up to 1.63 GB, & I'm on the 1GB/month plan (I was previously on track at just over mid-month & only using half my allotted data). The new version of Android that downloaded is NRD90S. How can I force updates to only install over wifi? I'm on wifi all day at work, & all night at home, & the one time the download showed up was when I wasn't on wifi.

Has anyone had either of these issues? Any suggestions on where I can look to make settings changes to try to resolve either issue?

I did a factory reset after the initial Nougat update, I've been considering a 2nd one before I got yesterday's update, but I hat to do another if it doesn't actually resolve anything.

Finally managed to get the update downloaded and installed :)

Not seeing that many obvious differences. The new notices are a bit cleaner, if a bit less colourful. Just tried the split screen - with a couple of Google apps - and while it's kinda cool, the apps didn't work too well in split screen mode. I guess that will come with time.

Haven't noticed any WiFi issues yet.

So far, so good :)
