Root Boost Moto E 2015 LTE Stock 5.1-2 Unmodified & Deodexed

Yes, stagefright, bug fixes, and other stability improvements.

No one I know with this phone was aware of an update today. The update I keep receiving for this phone is dated for September 4 on the moto website. If the stage fright patches are included, why the persistent notifications ? I'm asking because those updates are important and we don't want to miss those.

There was an update. Went from LPI23.29-18-S.8 to LPI23.29-18-S.11

Here is a link to all the flashables for the new update. I don't have time to post them properly right now but will get to it asap.

Follow the OP instructions but use the new files.

Your awesome! I was trying to figure out a way to install this, but kept getting update failed when i replaced stock recovery. Your efforts and time are very appreciated! By the Way, what is new in this update? Just curious.

Not sure yet. Seems the same without the update popup lol. Feel free to unpack the update and check it out. It is in the link I posted along with all the flashables I built.

I am having a slight problem with google play. Every time i try to type something in, it says something about "unfortunately, google play has stopped".

never mind, i fixed it by clearing google play services, framework, then removed my account.

I am not having that problem. I am using the deodexed version.

1. Did you update the partitions?
2. Did you wipe data/cache/dalvik before flash?
3. You could try clearing google play app cache/data

Same here! All the other custom roms I have tried do not support LTE. This one does and works great on Ring+ after PRL and profile update.

I am having a tough time enabling the native hotspot on XT1526. I tried the hotspot fix, but no go. Although I could enable the hotspot and my devices can connect to it, they have no internet connectivity while Moto E itself can surf the web with no problems.

I wonder if the hotspot fix is tailor made for Boost only? Anyone here got the hotspot to work?

I have Sprint Moto E2 on Ring+. The only ROM support LTE is stock 5.02. I follow all the step here but only get 3G, no LTE. Could you please elaborate how you can get LTE to works? Thanks

I'm having a problem, whenever I connect to a vpn it disconnects within 4 minutes (usually 2). I have tried CyberghostVPN, Betternet, and ZenVPN using an OpenVPN client.

Edit: Fixed I suppose... I was using the deodexed version. I switched to the unmodified version and so far the VPN apps are working (have been testing for ~10 minutes on each). Maybe I exaggerated by doing a wipe and install of the rom, but hey it worked :/

Oh the error i got from openvpn in the disconnect was something like: sorry deleting routes on android is not possible the vpn service api allows routes to be set on connect only

I'm realizing it might be more appropriate to post to this thread.

@SuperR Thanks for your killer contribution of Stock 5.1-2 Debloated, Deodexed, Rooted ROM. It runs like a champ. Now that Moto is pushing the update to 25.11.26 I'd be immensely grateful for your advice on how it might succeed with your rooted ROM???

I've already tried it with the stock recovery back in place and also with having unrooted it from the SuperSU menu. Each time the update attempts to flash in recovery it's progress bar gets approximately 1/4 of the way and then errors out. It then reboots to the OS and messages that the update was unsuccessful.

@nexusbandit I saw your post about how you succeeded with 23.11.23 but I think with @SuperRs rooted ROM I wouldn't have a means to skip the root while in TWRP.

Thanks again for all the vital smarts you guys share!

Hello and thanks my sprint prepaid works again after getting stuck on M boot logo. This was after I successfully installed twrp recovery work and rooted the phone yay, then messed with the audio resolution to 24bit via buildprop edit, then installed some apps to turn off vibrate and to mess with buildprop and tried advanced camera app and buildprop edit again
to invoke advance settings for camera after a restart it got stuck on M boot logo, now it works again after stumbling on this forum. Thanks again.
