Where have you used Android Pay?

Then why the change from Google Wallet to Android Pay? If they're essentially the same thing?
I don't remember exactly, but Google Wallet was tied to your Google balance at one point. I don't think Android Pay is anymore. There might be other differences too, but can't remember off the top of my head right now.

Yeah, they split them out. Wallet is your Google balance and you can use it to pay people or buy things in Play. AP is just for paying for 'stuff', with your linked bank or cc. You can fund your wallet but not AP, that never has a balance, it's purely for paying (not people) at stores etc.

Some cards do still work, if they were added in Wallet way back when they will continue to work in AP. But, now, if the bank isn't participating you can't add it. My sister still has a card that she can use from her credit union but they don't participate (yet) with AP so her neighbor can't add her card.

Google decided to split Google Wallet. GW is Peer to peer payment service only now. Android Pay is POS (stores) payment/loyalty card/gift card service now.

Why they split it up? Who knows. They cannot decide on one messaging app let alone a payment app

(In reality, I guess they wanted to compete directly with Apple Pay and Samsung Pay and anything Pay:p)

And, I got ninja'd!!!!! LOL

Do you have a root cloaking app? Enjoy those while you can, because the new Android versions are not being nice to root cloaks.

No root cloaking so I don't know why it works. It does mean that I'm reluctant to change ROMs at the moment, though that's not really a problem as I find the stock (ish .... Nova Prime installed) S7 pretty good (for me. YMMV).

Too many UK banks still don't support Android Pay, although they all were quick enough to jump on the Apple Pay bandwagon. I've been bugging my own bank about it regularly for over a year. :(

Saw another person using AP at my place. And used it in several places over the weekend, from pubs to small and large shops. Basically where I see the 'contactless' sign. I'm with Lloyds BTW.

Use it on my non-rooted S5. Couple of points to watch. One pub had £5 minimum per transaction; so buy pint plus meal and use Andriod Pay ok. Come back later for pint only pay £5 with AP or cash. Local Costa not "yet" taking AP. City of London Costa AP ok for £1.95 coffee.
Bank with Santander.
