looking for some help people, I was at a martial arts course at the weekend at we were allowed to video it so I set up my phone. the length of the video is about 3hrs 30mins in total and is split into segments of about 33mins(4gb) each. is there a way or any software that will allow me to put it back into one complete video. all help welcome. ric

I'm only suggesting computer-based solutions but the basic applications that are included with Macs (iMovie) and Windows (Movie Maker) might work depending on the file format your videos are saved as. My preference is the Open Source application, Avidemux. The native version is Linux but there are also Windows and OS X versions.

Considering each segment is 4 GB they must be a pretty high resolution, I'd recommend that once all the segments are combined you scale the resulting single video down. Also, if the audio is an important part of the presentation in general you might want to think about using an audio editing application to fix up the sound levels. The microphones in our phones just can't do higher fidelity recording so things like people in different parts of the room will have widely different sound quality. If the sound is not and it's actually more of a distraction, cut back on the overall file size of the finished video and delete the audio portion completely. But if needed, here's a very good, hobbyist level audio editor, Audacity:

thanks guys, it was done in 1080p on my phone which is why the files are so big. its only for myself and two others instructors so I'm going to give them the video in segments on a stick. ill just rename the files to what we were doing at the time. I'll try to see if I can put it together for any future videos as well. thanks ric
