Please tell me this phone will be re-released.

Greetings,

I am hoping that this phone will be re-released, is there any news on this? I have an LG V10, and went to get this phone, but it isn't sold any more by t-mobile. The pricing on the S7 and Edge is way to high for a phone that debuted in March. I have the jump on demand program and I had to get a phone because my LG V10 is starting to have problems. I do not like the Pixel or V20, so I purchased the iPhone 7 plus, as it was the only phone I liked that t-mobile carries. Please tell me that Samsung will not give up on this product.

Samsung have publicly stated that they have permanently discontinued Note 7 production. That's the only news there is on this. Preserving the Samsung brand matters more to them that one model.

If you don't fancy the S7E, then it's look at other manufacturers or use a lesser device temporarily until something else is released. There's no point hoping for something that isn't going to happen though.

They will still be investigating because they will want to know why it happened so that it doesn't happen again. That does not imply that they would be considering changing their decisions - what they will want most is for this to stop being a story as quickly as possible.

Unless you know why it happened you cannot know how much danger there is when it is powered down.

No more Note 7's. I had it myself. It was recalled twice so I too have the LG V10 now. I also have the Edge and to be honest I like the V10 better . I am not a IPhone fan. The edge is 5.5 inch and the V20 is 5.7 inch....same size as the V10. Since this V10 is a replacement and they suggested I exchange it now even though I wanted to hold out for the V20 so I will be preordering the V20 on Tuesday and return the V10. There is no comparison to the Note 7 but the best alternative, at least for me. I don't think the Note 8 will be out anytime soon but if and when it does I will probably jump again. They also gave me a extra jump for the 2nd recall so I can jump again if I don't like the V20.

I tried to exchange my Note 7 at Verizon today for S7 Edge; however, S7 Edge was sold out. Verizon refused to take the phone without me purchasing another phone. I was told, I could backorder the S7E but I would have not take my Note 7 with me and when the S7E came in at that time I could bring the Note7 back in and they would take it out that point.

Verizon was supposed to send me the special recovery box; however, what I received instead was a label. I contacted them again and they are suppose to send a recovery box.

Also, Verizon has the S7E backordered. On their website it does now state that if you don't return the Note 7, they will charge you the full price of the phone.

I'm trying to return it, but they are making it difficult.

When we took my wife's note 7 back to T-Mobile it was easy, back up the data, factory reset, power device off and turn it in. This week or next she's going to take in her replacement device

Verizon wants to credit my Verizon account for the full purchase price since I paid mine off. Now I ask, why would I want a $900 credit balance on my account when I am not buying another phone? Still waiting for that box too.
Presumably you would over time use that for your phone bills, provided you stay with them. And that last is why they'd rather give you the credit note: if they give you money you can just take it somewhere else.

Yup. which is exactly what I told them I would do if they didn't send me a check. I didn't save for 3 years to buy this phone only for it to be whittled away on a monthly phone bill. I want my money back to be set aside for my next phone whenever I make that purchase. And since I paid cash, not even by check they really kind of have to refund. I think.
