Am I On The Latest Version?

A while ago I signed up for the Android beta program so I could download Android 7.0 sooner onto my 6P. Once it was installed I then opted out of the program. It did not make me wipe my phone (which is the whole reason I did it this way).

But I don't think I've gotten any OTA updates since then.

I'm on build number NRD90M and the Android security patch level is August 5, 2016.

I've read about people having more recent versions and I'm wondering if I should be getting them OTA but I'm not.

Can anyone give me some info on this? Thanks!

@miked333 like @sheaves99 mentioned, NBD90X is the most current version of Android 7.0. It sounds like enrolling and then unenrolling from the beta program may have tripped you up a bit.

In addition to the factory images that @Rxpert83 mentioned, you can also sideload the full-block OTA images to get brought immediately up to date:
https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/ota

Unlike the factory images, sideloading an OTA in this way does not require you to unlock your bootloader or lose any data. Let me know if you need help with getting that done - I've got a handy-dandy guide for it somewhere...

@codesplice Thank you for the info. I tried stumbling my way through but can't get the OTA zip file to sideload. adb does see the device and I can reboot into recovery but when I try to sideload the zip file it says "error: no devices/emulators found".

I'm running Windows 10 if that matters.

If you have a step by step guide I would appreciate it but I think I just need to get past this error message.

Thanks again!

@codesplice

I got it to work! I'm now on build number NBD90X and security patch level October 5, 2016.

Thank you for your help - I really appreciate it. The funny thing is that I still couldn't get it to work in Windows 10. After about 15 attempts I tried in on my Macbook Pro and it still wouldn't work. Then I unplugged and replugged the USB cable while in recovery mode and it worked. Not sure why but it did.

Thanks again.
