Waiting on my Note 8

I'm reading reports about the Galaxy S8 being anywhere from half price to free for former Note 7 owners who complied with the recall. Frankly, I think the S8 Edge Plus, or whatever the S-pen model will be called next year, should be half price for folks who turned in one Note 7 and free for those of us who turned in TWO. But that's just me :)

Not me, I think it should be the other way around or else you don't give credibility to the saying, "Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me" :p

i can't get on the "free" bandwagon, as I returned both my phones and rec'd full refunds on them. I also ended up with a 256GB SD card $199.99, a Gear Fit watch, $179.99, $50 dollars in credits to my carrier, also got $30 from Samsung Pay and $10 in Dunkin donuts gift cards and on top of that 5 people used my code for samsung pay and i rec'd and additional $25.00 so if my math is any good I am ahead $494.98. I think if Samsung gave free phones away, we wouldn't see Samsung around much longer. A faulty product came out, it happens, and nobody was seriousley injured from it. i believe they did us right and heck we got a preview of a really nice phone. I expect next year will be better for them as they really want to win back the market. If you want to be disappointed in anyone i would be in Google. they let a large market share go to Apple/iPhone, so that's less users on the android platform which means less money going into Android's platform. that pixel phone is a sub $400 phone at best. I held both side by side and opted to stay with my 2 year old note 4 over that over priced POS

Oh did you nail this one! I stopped at VZW Corporate store to check out the Pixel and had to double check if I was at the right display. It was a white one which looked like a cheap piece of plastic - the kind that they offer with one of those pre-paid plans. When I turned it on it looked even worse. It looks like they tried to make it resemble an iPhony. Google has hit a new low for sure. I don't know who on earth would even consider that THING. They should just merge with Apple and call their phones iGoople.

I'm betting the LG V20 is going to turn heads and have a great sales boost for this coming holiday season. It's going to be a slam dunk for them as long as they don't have issues with reception or something that may be a turn off.
