Root [ROM][KERNEL][OC] ZTE Awe Stock + rb3 Kernel

Have to say drangongart6505 nice job on the awesomerom awe can't wait for updates ;)

Thanks! ^_^ TBH, the kernel is really what makes this thing pop. I just picked apart the stock crap and put in what makes the most sense for a working smooth experience. Thanks to rbheromax and cooldudezach and the whole 8930 team for THEIR work. More to come, were working diligently to provide the best experience for this sick phone

Is there a link available for the ROM that rbheromax described in the original post? I think that the link was taken down.

I'm new to altering my phone's "settings". I recently rooted it (KingoRoot worked well), and I love the new world that it opens up. I deleted a bunch of system files that I thought (based on some quick google searches) were fine to delete, but now my phone isn't sending or receiving texts/calls/wifi. As a stupid noob, I didn't create a backup of anything except my pictures and texts. I did a factory data reset, but that didn't help. My guess is that I need to download the stock version (called a ROM?) of my phone online, and then push that to my phone. I'd appreciate any suggestions, especially on:
1) Do I need to download a completely stock ROM, or could I download some altered ROM like rbheromax describes above?
2) Where could I get this ROM?
3) Alternative strategies that don't involve getting a new ROM?

If this post should be elsewhere, just let me know, and I'm happy to move it.

best,
Brian

I havent worked with the stock recovery in decades so I forgot how that works but I would have thought that a factory reset would have done the trick... Are the files that you deleted back after the reset?
1. Yes. You could download and install the stock ROM which would reintroduce the files, or install a custom ROM.
2. They are posted in the All Things Root Guide sticky thread.
3... mess around with the factory reset some more?? dunno.

I'm running the LAwe ROM with the AweStruck kernel. Ive had small problems with all the other builds.
I'd recommend you download that one as it also has instructions to flash a custom recovery, which youll need if you decide to flash a custom ROM.
