Samsung Galaxy S3 i747 Wifi won't turn on

I'm a noob at rooting and wanted to make my old phone faster which was lagging just for simple typing on an offline application. In the end, I got my phone working normally EXCEPT the Wifi REFUSES to turn on! If I press the on switch, the phone forces it to go back! Help!

These are the steps I did prior to breaking the wifi
  • I messed around with my old, slow phone by rooting it with iRoot
  • Removed System Applications that bloated up the phone (Internet, AT&T apps, some Samsung Apps I believe)
  • Installed Clockworkmod Recovery
  • Failed countless times to flash a custom rom, so I searched online to solve the Status 7 error
  • Upgraded my bootloader
  • Wifi completely stopped working sometime after I upgraded the bootloader (I am not sure why its not working)
What I attempted so far
  • Format and Wiped, wifi still doesn't work and system applications I removed were still gone
  • Used a backup of the phone when the wifi worked (after I removed system applications...) and flashed; I kept being pestered with errors that a certain google service wouldn't work which would barely give me enough time to press options on the screen. Wifi is still broken.
  • Tried going into Odin mode and flashed the Galaxy S3 AT&T i747 rom, this fixed errors but only like formatting it. System applications still missing and Wifi still refuses to turn on.
Hoping to try soon
  • Safe Mode
Please tell me if there's any way I can fix the wifi!

I'm going to need a bit of help...
My phone has no wifi access (sound seems broken too) so clockworkmod recovery won't install unless there's an apk for the cwm itself (The manager app which installs it won't work due to lack of wifi)

What's a good way to root my phone? I'll do both apk or computer odin flashing. iRoot failed me (Both the pc and android version)

Currently trying to flash a rooted rom

EDIT: My Android version is 4.4.2 (I really hope I didn't screw up and flash the wrong rom or somerthing)

Just saw your edit on previous post. If you were on 4.4.2 and flashed MJB (4.3), could cause problems.

Do you have a working custom recovery now?
Still trying to download, internet is a bit slow unfortunately.
I'm planning to flash the phone with TWRP and SuperSU like you suggested

EDIT: Now I have TWRP, just need to flash SuperSU!
