Root EVO 3D problems! Need identifier token — can't figure it out!

Hi, so I'm on an epic quest to simply get a better camera app on the EVO 3D.

It's not my actual phone, I just wanted to teach stereoscopic photography to some high schoolers.

But I don't like the stock camera app — photos are blurry and the shutter takes too long — so I thought I'd try the Amaze Camera app port for the EVO 3D.

Unfortunately, I updated to ICS, which the Amaze Camera doesn't work in.

So I'm trying to downgrade, using this guide.

To do that, I need to unlock the bootloader. To do that, I'm using HTC's guide.

I'm stuck at Step 5, where I open up Terminal and type "fastboot oem get_identifier_token"

It responds: "-bash: fastboot: command not found"

I've tried the whole set of instructions several times. I've tried using a different cord. I've made sure "USB Debugging" is turned on and "Fastboot" is turned off. I used this to help install Fastboot and ADB commands on my computer. I also installed the entire SDK.

I'm on a 2014 MacBook Pro, running Yosemite.

Any ideas would be much appreciated! Thanks!!

One of my favorite devices from the past. First the command fastboot oem get_identifier_token the way you have it typed out is for Windows and not a Mac. make sure to cd into whatever folder you have fastboot in then try this

./fastboot-mac oem get_identifier_token

2 Possible Reasons for Errors:

1. Make sure you switch/change directory (cd) into whatever folder you have fastboot in and then, input this command: ./fastboot-mac oem get_identifier_token

2. You may have to factory reset the device from fastboot mode. HTC devices does that especially, when you have just upgraded or downgraded the device.
