Very specific problem

I am aware that I have a very specific problem with this S2, ES File Explorer and a new Vodafone router, but hopefully someone can offer advice.

Until yesterday I have been able to access videos, etc, stored on a NAS (d-link if it matters) from this tablet. I could access them from other devices.

Yesterday I changed ISP to Vodafone and got a new router. This is up and running, and oyherwise seems OK. I am still able to access my NAS from other devices, but not from the S2.

I have rescanned and the server list shows up the d-link server name, but it can't access anything on it. I've manually entered the local IP address, but it still won't access it.

I'm running the same version of ES on all android devices. I've been through the router settings and all the devices are recognised. It's strange that it's just the Samsung that it doesn't work on.

Any ideas? Either a fix or another file manager that will allow me to cast videos from my NAS to my TV. TIA.

Update: It seems like it's not just ES; I've downloaded VLC and this won't open any network files either.

Update update: it's affecting a Galaxy S7 but not an S3. OS problem maybe? The Sammys are on 6.0.1, my phone's on 6.0 and all my other devices are on 5 or less.
