Help YouTube cast to TV Video is slow

Hey, having a weird issue with my Android TV. When I click the cast button on a YouTube video on my computer, and send it to my TV. The video plays however the video seems to be going slow-mo, the audio plays normal.

Anyone ever had this issue? I can't seem to find any settings in regards to video play rate. Doesn't appear to be a internet connection speed issue as it all plays fine, just the video speed.

Well, there are two ways of 'casting' from your PC...

Mirroring your PC/browser or casting the YouTube video...
I'm guessing that you are casting from the YouTube.com website and that your PC is doing the encoding and that it is THIS that is getting lost in translation.

This makes sense as the native app on your TV seems to be working just fine and is encoding the videos using the TV hardware.

One possible option would be to arrange for the TV to do the video transcoding and NOT your TV... but I don't know how to do that... or even if it's possible.

Another would be to get a small keyboard - trackpad mouse and use the TV app or the KODI YouTube addon.
I have one of these... It works brilliantly!

When you're using the Youtube app on your Android TV box it's using your WiFi directly, so the video is going from the Internet, through your modem, then your router, to your Android TV.
When you're casting through your computer, that adds additional steps as that same video now has to go from your router, to your computer (using either an Ethernet cable or WiFi depending on how you have things set up), then through your home WiFi to your Android TV. That video playback sluggishness is probably tied to how your home LAN is set up, most specifically your router. You're better off just using the Youtube app on your Android TV but what kind of router do you have? Is it a modem/router supplied by your ISP or do you have your own separate wireless router?
