Help How to disable floating action button

I have an annoying floating action button which keeps reappearing on my home screen. The app which is doing it is called TouchPal which is pretty good at what it does which is why I tolerate it's bs to some extent. Is there a way I can disable this floating action without uninstalling the TouchPal app? Thanks!

I have no idea what TouchPal is, but unless you can open the app and disable the floating icon in the settings, you're probably stuck with it. A nice email to the developer might be helpful in getting that option added to a future update.

The developers don't care; they've been ignoring similar requests to disable intrusive adverts for their other apps for some time. I would have dumped them years ago if I could find a better swiping keyboard app. I can't find an option that covers this in their settings.

What version of Android are you using? Can you deny the screen overlay permission for that specific app?

Are you rooted at all? An ad blocker would also probably do the trick.

The Android version on my tablet is Lollipop, stock. There is no known method to root this tablet which is called the Hudl 2. Unfortunately, I can see that the app has the overlay permission but I have no option to revoke it. My phone is rooted and has Ressurection Remix Nougat ROM installed and does give me the option to deny the overlay permission which seems to have worked. I'll look into using an ad blocker. Thanks!
