Natural upgrade for my Note 4?

I hate these kind of posts normally but this upgrade is different to me . Simply because im one of those types of people who likes to progress from phone to phone of the same brand. I went from Galaxy s1 to s5 and then swapped to Note when i needed a larger screen. But oh no the Note 7 was a disaster and now no longer an options. What do I do now? My OCD on this matter is having a panic attack. The closest i can find is the XL Pixel. Would this be an obvious choice for you?

I can't vouch for anyone else, but I tried the Moto X Pure. Great phone, really. But the lack of S-pen drove me nuts! After turning in not one but TWO Note 7s, I went back to the Note 4... and that's where I'll stay until the Note 8 (or the S8 Plus, if it has an S-pen) comes out.

:)

Upgrade is due in Jan and god knows when the 8 is due?? I'd keep my Note 4 but the darn thing keeps turning itself off if i knock it . It's had it's day. :)

LG V20 is large screen and a super machine. Not a Sammy, but if you're ok switching brands.... I came from an HTC Fwiw, and am thrilled with it every day I use it.

I would with the right research for sure which i why im sniffing at the Pixel XL at the mo. But nobody here as jumped to champion that handset yet which always gives me concern.

The S8 (and possibly S8 Plus) are due to be announced and released in April... Note 8, if there is one, probably closer to August or September. My Note 4 is a little eccentric, too. But I'll try to nurse her along until that wonderful day!

hmm food for thought. I've never been one to not snap the hands off EE for an upgrade so not sure how it works in terms of postponing it.

The Pixel, like the Nexus, will never be a mainstream choice. It's a bloomin' lovely handset though. Ignore the 32GB option though... pony up for the 128GB.

You'e eligible for no-cost upgrade once you've paid your 24th monthly bill. After that you an upgrade at any time..... there's no time limit.

Top Tip... see what your local CPW store can offer. They service EE but guarantee to beat the network's own prices.

Yes, I'm employed by CPW but unless the OP is willing to travel 400 miles I will not benefit. Otoh if he does I'll introroduce him to some VERY nice local ales! :)

Thankyou Sir Slug. Seems i need to weigh up a few things over the next month. I mean this Note 4 really is irritating me enough that i just want shot of it but things like the size and S-Pen would be missed . Very true . I'm pretty confident i can't wait for the Note 8 to appear but will be sniffing around alternatives due earlier in the year for sure.
