I 've a Moto X force which i'm sure it's the same as Droid turbo 2.

I had an SD card and when first inserted i was asked if i wanted to use it as internal storage, which i agreed.

Now, i'm away to restore my phone to factory settings, will i lose all data on the card?

what happens if i take the card out restore the phone then put it back in?

Yes, if you chose to use the sd card as adopted storage, you will lose all of the data on it when you factory reset, and it will not be readable after you reset - the adopted storage is encrypted in a way that it is only readable by the phone that adopted it, and not after a factory reset.

If you take it out and put it back in, the data will not be recognized.

That's why I discourage people from using adopted storage.
