AVG used to be great for free, now if you install it you'll have it for a couple of weeks as a trial and then it will blow up your desktop with mass amounts of "trial has expired, BUY NOW" popup windows until you manually uninstall it. Nobody does free shit anymore. Probably why CyanogenMod project finally pulled the plug. They certainly can't charge people for open source firmware.

I've tried every free malware/virus remover and they don't work. Whoever writes this new malware makes sure that it throws off most of the freebies. Trust me. $60 for a year of real, reliable malware can't be beat.

Just to convince myself that my money went to something, I'd try downloading some Android shit from 4shared site, which is loaded with horrific amounts of malware. Does a great job of removing them... Can't stress it enough

Damn .. I can't wait for root or a nice update to 7.0 (if we get it). I think this will be my last ZTE phone I buy. but ya never know.

Waiti for root on this thing, would be awesome. Def the last zte device I purchase till they go back to the bootloader days...just got the Alcatel streak, ya that low spec free phone and guess what it's rootable....same with the Alcatel idol 3 and Alcatel fierce XL.. So I have my new brand. Still keeping this max pro tho, darn good device

Wow. That's news to me. When I was virus'ed many years ago on my torrent days. Avast is the only one that saved my PC without formatting it. And have been using it ever since. Never got virus'ed really bad since then. Or maybe coz I stopped torrenting too.

We have had reports of Chinese devices apparently having Chinese government censoring in them. An Onda tablet originally purchased in China, couldn't access Facebook and YouTube in the UK, because the hosts file in system had been doctored, and included a whole list of sites deemed undesirable by the CPC.

Lol this rooting forum is a bigger disaster than the phone itself. Since somebody went out of their way to ensure that Jcase will not even consider helping us now, I'm out. PM me if anybody with PayPal wants a gently used ZMAX Pro with accessories. Going on eBay within a few days. Good luck lol
