Sync HTC Mail to Gmail

Ok, this is probably something relatively simple but I'm unsure how to do it (if its possible) How do I get my Gmail to come through my HTC Mail widget?

Many thanks in advance for indulging my probable stupidity.

When ypu click on the menu at the bottom left of the screen to bring up all applications, is the google mail app there ? If so just log press on it and you can add it to your homepage

There is a Google Mail shortcut, but not a widget. I'm wondering if it is possible to sync the funky HTC main widget to my gmail account.

HOPE THIS HELPS YOU OUT, the only problem is that gmail notifies you as well as htc, does anyone know how to turn of the original gmail notifier?

Go to gmail on you phone, click menu, settings then disable notifications... I think that'll work
