Help Leelbox MXQ PRO 4k can't root ¿no recovery?

I bought the Leelbox MXQ PRO 4k Leelbox from Amazon: https://www.amazon.es/gp/product/B01EUTH8M4/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 with the objective of setting a media center for my
grandparents. A HDD connected by USB and smb running to move movies from their PC to the HDD. The problem I found is that I can't root the device, not by ADBWIFI or Sdcard, because when I turn it on with the reset button press nothing happens. So I suposse there is no recovery mode installed ¿Am I wrong?
Any possible solution? Thanks!

There probably is no documented proven rooting methods for it available online, being a rather unknown cheapo thing. Could try Towelroot or Kingroot or something, which may work, may not work, or may brick it completely. Good luck, here be dragons.

Might be worth you contacting the company about it in Shenzhen, China, they may have more information about it.

Why do you want to try and root it?

I'm wary of wading into topics where box owners want to root them.
It usually doesn't end well.
