I kind of felt the same way about The DaVinci Code. I read it in a day and when I finished I thought it was "cute" but certainly not great. It's the kind of thing you read on a plane to keep your mind off the crying kid in the seat in front of you and the fat guy behind you complaining every 15 minutes abut something.
I got the Da Vinci Code book, I only read it during Jury Duty....... Had it since it came out and I'm no where close to the end.
I think I skip Jury Duty sometimes just so I won't have to read the book
