RingPlus says it might shutdown cell service on February 11th

RingPlus, a Sprint MVNO, sent its customers a notice saying they will likely end wireless service in one week on February 11th. I don't see any news sites reporting about it yet, but right now their forum is filled with threads about it.

It's possible they'll work out a deal to keep going, but in the past when other MVNOs get to this point they are usually over. If you're using RingPlus you might want to port out now.
 
Looks like RingPlus and Sprint reached a deal to move all existing customers over to Ting once RingPlus goes out of business.

If you don't port out to a different carrier you'll automatically be switched to Ting and will only need to enter some account info to get set up. Top-up balances will be transferred also.

This is sad. It was a good idea for free cell service.
Yeah, they had some nice free plans but I'm wondering if they're shutting down because they weren't making enough money.
