Screen Overlay Detected Problem

I'm posting this here as I know there are probably more LG G5s still out there than the LG G4 I own.

I have a LG G4 and am getting a screen overlay detected problem I can't solve. In fact, in trying to solve it, I shut off the permission for every app (including system apps) to draw over other apps and the restarted the phone. Now the problem seems worse in that some apps that were working fine are getting the error as well. Most of the solutions online are for samsung phones. Has anyone with a LG G4 (or perhaps other LG phone) gotten this problem and figure out how to solve it? If so, I'd appreciate knowing the answer. Already wasted a couple of hours on this. Thanks.

I did a quick online search for this problem. Maybe you can try this:

1. Search for "Draw Over Other Apps" on the search bar in settings to find the menu of apps that has a draw over other apps feature enabled.
2. You will see a list of apps that have permission to float buttons or other screen overlays so you need to identify which apps have a problem so you can 3. Temporarily deny it permission to draw over the screen. To do this, you can check below tips:
Do you see an app bubble on your screen? If do, this app is almost certainly the cause. Either you hide the app bubble or disable the app in the list
Do you have an app installed that changes the colors on the display or adjusts the brightness?
Reportedly, Clean Master can be a trouble maker. If you see Clean Master in the list, disable it
If there’s no obvious cause, disable everything
4. Launch the app again and it will request permissions without the error getting in the way.
5. You need to re-enable the apps that you disabled earlier. If you turned of all apps, you should reactivate the ones that you usually use.

I sincerely hope this helps.
