Trump is our Commander-In-Chief and our country is more divided than ever. Should we despair? No, for it is Black History Month and is shaping up to be a special one indeed. Yesterday was 2/5. Brady won his 5th Superbowl Championship. Beyonce is pregnant with twins (2) making her family a family of five (5). So in addition to these blessings to the world, I give you THIS... Android and our love for it, can reunite us... lol
P.S. Can someone please give these a try and post on the forum if they work. I haven't even unlocked my bootloader yet bc my laptop is acting up.
Well you promised not to share it at purchase but i was expecting that xD

I'm pretty sure I can't steal something I paid you for, but whatever. I appreciate you taking out the time to work on a device you don't actually own. I was just tired of all of the negativity on the forum bc you chose to charge for your work, which if you can recall, I had no problem paying for.
Your purchase was for single use only.

Drizzy, instead of asking a question every roadblock you run into, try researching ANYTHING you see with your eyes. A quick google search will tell you to wipe data from inside recovery to disable data encryption. Also your question is vague as it could mean a couple things. If you enter recovery using button combo it will factory reset everytime. Use adb to enter recovery. Or use reboot recovery apk by GameTheory, its light weight and simple. Hope this helps man

What an overly unusable post... the only usable things here arent even yours.. where is your mention of the twrp creator or even simple flashing instructions... Looks as if you tried to present the recovery and attached files as your work.. (Trump 110%)

Kk, thanks to messi2050 for the work first off.

Second, does anyone have a backup of their original boot.img on a MetroPCS model?

Personally, I managed to get around some other issues with my phone not wanting to let the recovery flash stick, but in the process I zapped my boot partition.

I have access to adb, fastboot, root, twrp, and an unlocked bootloader... I just need the stock boot.img for my phone to get it running again. I know this was my error, and don't expect freebies here, so I'm willing to extract it from the KDZ, or if anyone knows a surefire way to install a KDZ to these phones - point me in the right direction.

All the google results, etc. were too far off the mark with regards to the dll's required, etc. (I don't know how or where to get a TOT for this model) and I've bricked units in the past fooling around with KDZ's to begin with, so I'd REALLY prefer just the simple boot.img flash in fastboot to take care of this if it's not too much trouble for anyone.

Thanks again, if I find out a way to get it back before someone gets back to me I'll upload it myself for anyone else that gets in the same pickle.

Heck, if I have the time later, I just got ALL the partitions from the stock FW and will upload them as soon as my wife stops harassing me (prolly tomorrow)

Thanks for the offer, and MEGA THANKS for the hard work on the recovery, messi.
I think you're one of the few devs that does work for the metro/cricket models that need some love. If you gimme some pointers as to how you got TWRP up and running so quick on this, I'll be more than happy to work on some other models (mostly interested in ZTE's ZMaxx pro - or Stylo 2 for cricket hacks)

I'm getting pretty proficient on lg's atm, too. I need to get a github account and finally start doing this!

Excuse me for not being selfish. I didn't charge for software which is open sourced and refuse to release it for free. Messi2050 did that. I didn't even think Messi2050 was wrong for charging for the files, which she put her time and effort into. I did what adults do and paid for what I wanted. Did you? Lol I didn't think so... The backlash she received is why I decided to post the files. I knew she wasn't going to change her mind about posting her work for free when grown a$$ men were here on the forum crying, bellyaching and making threats to report her. As far as wanting credit, I couldn't fcukin' care less. I'm not a developer bro. I'm just a guy who likes to mess around with my phone. Remember, Messi2050 posted the files bc I forced her hand. Take Care, buddy

Unlocked bootloader yes, twrp no. Will have to wait till someone makes one that's freely available (I read that there's a recovery but there's a charge for it) or someone to get it, upload it, and share it here (would be sick!!)
It's hilarious how I did just what you mentioned in this post and you had an issue with it, but I digress young man...
