For future reference: you can use the search feature at the top of the page or manually search through the LS660 TRIBUTE forum (which is how I got the link you need).

The information for getting TWRP is in the OP.

Okay first off, this is going to be my first ever public thread reply in open forum that isn't facebook, so bare with me. I have a very specific issue that i can not seem to find any information online. Secondly, I am using a rooted lg ls660 (Tribute) with TWRP. I been trying out different custom roms for this phone for awhile now, but have only really been satisfied with a specific one i came across. It's the Monstros Rom found here http://androidforums.com/threads/mo...st-and-lightest-rom-updated-4-22-2016.992967/ Okay so I got it up and running and through some sort of screw up (possibly tinkering with various apps now that i figured out how to jam pack this phone by using Link2sd) i managed to lose the ability to have my settings stick in the developers options settings, specifically the setting to allow mock locations, so i figured "hey just backup everything and wipe and try a different rom" so that is what i did. I then flashed this rom here http://androidforums.com/threads/lg-tribute-stock-zv5-deodexed-unmodified-4-4-2.922509/ hoping it would provide me with settings that would actually stick. Like a total N00b, i accidentally let that blasted OTA go through, which rebooted me into TWRP with the error basically telling me that it failed. Okay so again, i decided to just wipe everything again and reflash my backup i had. That's where this thread comes in. I saw that there was an easy little zip to flash to fix this boot to recovery only issue. I used it and VOILA! I'm back in my system. The next part is what really confuses me. Upon getting back into my rom, i get this very odd notification saying "Default MAC address!!! Do not use Wi-Fi with default MAC address Plz write MAC address using Testmode Tool" I will upload a screenshot of this. Any and all help to get rid of/fix this issue would make me beyond happy. I have tried researching the notification online for almost 3 weeks and have not found this anywhere else. Now i know that for the time being i can basically long press the notification and force stop it when it takes me to the app screen, which shows that the Android System itself is showing it to me. I can use the phone normally, except to send/recieve mms which has pretty much always been the case but is a completely separate issue altogether. This odd notification that will always come back upon a reboot or wipe or flash of a rom has been plaguing me for awhile now. I just need some clarification as to what is going on and hopefully some help. I would be much obliged for any.

after i copied the first line of text, i hit enter, and it said ''there is not enough space'' or something, then i ignored it, typed the next line, hit enter, and it said the same thing, and it didn't work..

my device: OnePlus One
This is for the LG Tribute, not the One PLUS One. The setup is different.

The error is telling you that you don't have the correct device and that the locations you are looking for don't exist.
What device are you using?

this command got my tablet out to TWRP recovery BUT I don't get the ota update anymore is there anyway to undo the command because I want to flash stock recovery and receive the ota update but whenever I check it say the system is up to date.
I have LG G pad 7.0 V410 At&t OS version 4.4.2
I know android 5.0 is available but this command did something to the system that I don't get ota anymore.
I did restore the os from backup, also did factory reset still not get any os update.
I need your help... thanks

Solution for bootlooping to TWRP after OTA update

I've got 2 simple commands to ease everyone's troubled minds. The overwhelming sense of accomplishment you'll get knowing you can use your device again. Take a step back and appreciate this moment. All joking aside, here you go.

You now have two choices. Follow the directions below or download the zip and flash in TWRP.
http://androidforums.com/resources/twrp-bootloop-fix-zip.214/ & please leave a review there.

Start up Terminal Emulator from TWRP.
  • Since its showing a file browser, hit the select button - bottom right, now you can enter command lines.
  • Enter commands EXACTLY as shown (please read disclaimer below).
Code:
dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/fota
Hit enter (return)...wait, takes a few seconds
Now input this
Code:
dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/misc
Hit enter (return)...wait again.
When its complete, reboot.

_____
Tested and verified numerous times by myself before release.

Also as a note, you may have to reactivate your device before using data or the phone.

______

I will not be responsible for damages that occur to your device due to using the above TWRP commands.

The commands worked because your device has the same file locations called for in the commands as the LS660. The commands didn't change anything to the system to compromise completion of an OTA update. OTA's only fail from a few problems, the main one is that system files have either being changed (modified) or deleted. The commands only zeroes out a partition, not related to the file system.
Sorry about the late response. Please check with your device forum for more help.
