Help Google apps stopped working on tablet

Hi all,

Most of the Google apps on my Asus Transformer 101 tablet stopped working about a week ago.

- When I try to start Gmail, YouTube, G Drive, or Maps, they freeze and crash/shut down before the app even becomes usable. All were updated to the latest versions. When I revert YouTube to the original version that came with the tablet, it works but the video skips every few seconds.

- Keep and Chrome work fine. All other apps seem to work fine
- No new installed apps just before problem started.

- running Android version 4.0.3 with the latest firmware update

Any advice would be very much appreciated. Thank you!

Hi,
Go to settings >storage>cached data>clear cached data .
Go to settings>storage>apps/ appication manager> all>download manager force stop clear data.
Go to settings>storage>apps/ appication manager> all>Google play services clear data uninstall updates.
Go to settings>storage>apps/ appication manager> all>settings> clear data.
Go to settings>storage>apps/ appication manager> all>Google play store force stop clear data uninstall updates.
Restart device.
Open Google play store and tap on accept button and leave the device with stable internet connection and fully charged battery for sometime/ overnight.
Apps update automatically.

Followed the above but no apps updated automatically. Also, I had to restart the tablet a couple of times before even accessing Google play. After the first restart, I couldn't access any app. After the second restart, the WiFi wouldnt connect. The third restart allowed me to access Google play but i had to download Google play services first. After that, I checked Google play and it said all of the apps in question were already updated to the latest versions.

Anything else I can try? Thank you for your time - much appreciated.
