Updated phone now battery won't fully charge

If there is a way to fix it the people on this forum can help, but you have to give them MUCH more information. What phone is it, what version of Android did you have Before updating and what version did you update to? Could also be a coincidence although I'm no expert, try using a different cable and or charger in the meantime and see if that helps as I honestly don't know why updating your android would affect the charging of the phone itself.

It's a LG G5, software version 7.0. I don't know what version it was before. I had great battery usage before. Now its draining fast and won't fully charge. I started out at 70% now its 53% it won't last until lunch. I check battery Usage Nd it looks normal. I wish I could go back to the original software.

I just fixed this on my wife's G4. Fully discharge the phone until it shuts off. Plug it into the charger and do not turn it on. Let it fully charge while off, then unplug and turn on.

This should calibrate the phone software to the battery.
