Welcome to the new AndroidForums (Round 2)

Let me try to better explain.
What I meant all along is the way 'new posts' work, it shows every thread that has a new post, whether it's been previously read or not. If there is a new post the thread shows. If there are no new posts the thread doesn't show.

Read but new post - show the thread
Read but no new post - don't show the thread

This is how http://androidforums.com/find-new/posts currently works and is what I thought I was asking for earlier. I realize now I was far from clear in my explaining.

This thread doesn't show in the list of "unread" now, even though there are new posts.
Same thing I'm seeing.

Setting tabs as "Unread" and "All" is not showing threads I've replied to even though they have new unread posts.

Setting tabs as "Most Recent" and "All" is showing threads I've replied to when they have new posts.

Related - can you include marking the OP when they respond to a thread. (was also highly requested after Xenforo upgrade)

Done!

Another minor request for formattiong on the pagination. It can be hard to tell what current page you are on. Just turning the page number green with a little green bottom line is subtle enough that sometimes I miss it.

Possibly making the current page number BOLD as well would make it stand out enough?

Done!

It still looks dreadfully awful, and I'M still getting alerts for crap I have absolutely no interest in.

Perhaps you could be a little more constructive, or helpful? But, I guess it doesn't matter for aesthetics, if you find this 'dreadfully awful' then you're not going to come around to any minor changes we might make. This is the look we're going for.

As for notifications, perhaps you could give some recent examples so I can investigate? I only see a couple notifications for you and they fit with what your preferences have set. (someone liking your posts, etc).

This was the intent. Very hard to test on ghost town dev and it looked to be working well here but, now I see what you mean. Submitting..

I like the forum interaction. Just stating my opinion of the look. It really is just plain terrible.

Not quite, I'm getting alerts whenever someone replies to a thread in general. Also, whenever someone posts an attachment. I tried to select them, then deselect them. Big fat nope on that, I still get the notifications.

After unchecking them did you scroll down and hit the green "Save Changes" button on the alert preferences page?

After that the settings should stick.

Can you test now? May need to clear cache.

Anybody figure it out yet?

Still? Nothing??

When I select "Unread + Favourites" on the home page, I don't see the threads I'm expecting to. Should it not show me the exact same as "Most Recent + Favourites", minus the threads without unread posts?

In stead, all I'm seeing are one or two results max, which were very recently replied to.

EDIT: The search tool used to make this distinction between newly updated threads, and those which were updated prior to your previous visit. Is the homepage making the same distinction, and showing me only the newly updated ones?
