After upgrade Calendar Notification Not Shown wont stop

I have the same problem. After the recent software upgrade I keep getting that error message in the notification bar; ”Calendar noti. not shown” and then an instruction on how to correct that.

But I get the calendar notifications just as I’m supposed to and changing the settings to “no notifications” and then turning notifications on again don’t make any difference.

So everything works, apart from that annoying false error message several times an hour.

How can I make it disappear?

I am having this exact problem on three devices NOTE 4 TAB A AND A ZOOM after disabling Samsung calendar after I realized that it was a separate app than my google calendar and did nothing more than snoop and sync the Samsung app depriving me of direct interaction with the google app. since I could not uninstall this imposter app i removed all its permissions including sending notifications (which i didn't find the first pass and ended up getting notices to restore access AND IRONICALLY HAD TO RESTORE BEFORE I COULD TURN OFF NOTIFICATION) now after trying to completely disable this app I continue to receive the notice in the title that Calendar noti. not shown DUH>>>>>>>>>>>>> go away you are just another Samsung battery assassin)

any help this one is more difficult than some of the other bloat like the multi named flip board revival and launch antics . seriously driving me to root all my Samsung devices

Samsung S6, same problem after upgrading the phone, a notification keeps appearing that I won't be seeing any calendar notifications, even though they are active and working.

I seem to have found a fix/workaround:
In program info for the Samsung Calendar, under permissions, add Calendar to permissions.

Haven't gotten the notification since.

Update: While I've mostly surrendered to the fact that Samsung software cannot be uninstalled and contains loads of unwanted features including sneaky adware that even shows on the lock screen by default - this is indeed my first and last Samsung phone ever - I actually do use the Samsung calendar, just wanted to get rid of the annoying notifications.

However, for those that do not want to use the Samsung calendar, it's totally possible to disable notifications after adding permissions, without the notification warning reappearing.

This is not a fix/workaround, its a surrender to the Samsung app demands. I do not like the built-in Samsung calendar app, and if I install/use a different app, the whiney crybaby Samsung calendar app posts its alerts. I know of no way to make it stop at this time except surending and going back to the flawed Samsung built-in calendar, as you have done.
