How Long Did (Will) You Wait...

Hi everyone, since it appears Google still needs to reach out to some of the world leaders in manufacturing logistics, I thought I would start a tread to see how long you had to or will have to wait for your Pixel XL.

What size storage did you get (32 or 128 GB)?
What color device did you get (Silver, Black, Blue)?
Where did you purchase your device (Verizon or Google)?
How long did you have to wait (in weeks)?

I will start this off....

128GB, Black, Verizon, being told about 5-6 weeks wait time (3/21/17 is current ESD).

I have read reports of people waiting anywhere from 8 weeks to a couple days. It seems Verizon has the White 128 GB version in stock right now, but the rest are back-ordered.

I got mine from Verizon. They had a promotion going and I was able to get hubby a V20 at half price with my order.

I got the 128gb in black. I wanted the blue one but it only came in a 32gb. 64gb would have been perfect but i'm lazy about deleting anything off my phone so at least now I know I won't have to worry about using up all my space.... ever lol.

I think I waited about 6 weeks. After I got my phone I fought with Verizon for another 2 weeks about a replacement cause it had an audio issue. The new phone still works fine and I'm glad I waited. I really love the phone.

EDIT 2: Received shipping confirmation. will arrive on 3/14.

EDIT 3: Arrived on 3/14. Loving it so far.

Phone is being delivered tomorrow. That puts total wait time to 30 calendar days. That's not too bad given they initially had about 6 week wait time.

Nice. Mine is on track for tomorrow too. It's been here in Vegas since Saturday morning, so I was hoping that Fedex would be kind and deliver it today, but apparently Henderson and Vegas are way too far apart for that.

I got mine today from Verizon. It was scheduled to be delivered 3/21/17, 4 weeks from the day I ordered it. So I was pleased that it was early. Now to figure it out, coming from a Motorola Droid Turbo. I got a case from Amazon - Caseology - Parallax Series and a holster clip that fits over the case for when I need it to clip to belt. This weekend when I go to the Verizon store I'll have them put on a screen protector as well. I got the black one with a blue/grey case 128 GB

I STRONGLY caution you against getting a screen protector from Verizon for this phone. I purchased a ZAGG IntelliShield one and it is about 1-2 millimeters short in the width of covering the light up area of the flat surface of the phone. This leaves a line from the edge of the glass through the actual viewing area of the phone and is more than annoying. Basically all glass protectors made for thsi phone are defective because they did not make them wide enough to cover the correct area they are supposed to cover.

If you didn't already know, this phone (like most new phones these days) has 2.5D screen. This means that the screen on the phone slightly curves at the edges, thus preventing a full screen coverage protector from being useful. So the manufacturers of the protectors have to make the protectors slightly smaller than the actual screen. However basically all of them failed this task and made them too small.

Just do some simple google searches to see what I am talking about. The manufacturers claim "this was done intentionally" and all of use say, "but you did it wrong"!

I just ordered this one from Amazon, which looks promising: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01M69PTSV/ref=od_aui_detailpages00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I say it looks promising, because the manufacturer listened to their customers and made a slight change to the width of the protector. Most of the reviews say the glass covers the area it should cover now.

Again, I urge you to NOT waste your money with ZAGG or basically any other tempered glass protector until you have done your research and understand what will hapen if you get one of these that are not wide enough to cover the light up area of the phone.

Thank you! I haven't yet bought a screen protector but I feel I should. I hope when you get yours from Amazon you let me know how it fits.

I just received and installed it a few minutes ago and can say without a doubt that it is perfectly fit to cover the viewing area of the phone! It fits like a glove without being so wide that you get "halo" effects around the edges. For only $8 and being a company I have never heard of before, they Yootech is the ONLY company I know of that has actually taken customer complaints about this issue and made a slight change that significantly effects the usability of our devices.

It was super easy to install, though I did have to use a little more pressure and rubbing with my fingernail and the included squeegee to get the few bubbles that appeard out, but it didn't take more than about 5 minutes of TLC to complete.

My fist impression of the product I linked above is that it is well made and actually fits correctly.

Finally, I talked to Yootech before receiving my order and they said that if I have any issues they will either send me replacements or refund my money according to their lifetime warranty.

Conclusion = $8 product from a company that actually makes changes based on customer feedback vs $40 product from a company that basically says "we are smarter than the stupid customers and they don't know what they are talking about", the "off brand" company wins my vote 100% of the time.
